"ANTONIO MARIA
ROSALES, who has been a member of the Franciscan Order (OFM) since 1961 and a
priest since 1968, has spent thirty years of his priestly ministry in the
Archdiocese of Manila. With a doctoral degree in theology from the
Alphonsianum in Rome, he taught in Manila's Archdiocesan Seminary of San
Carlos, the Franciscan Seminary of Our Lady of the Angels (OLAS), Maryhill
School of Theology (MST) and at the Inter-Congregational Theological Center
(ICTC). In 2007 he was the superior of the Franciscan community in
Calbayog City, Samar, where the Franciscans have a school (Christ the King
College) and a hospital (Our Lady of Porziuncola Hospital, Inc.). In
2009, after a summer in the Basilica of the Holy Sepulchre in Jerusalem, he
wrote THE DAY JESUS DIED, published in 2009. The book was a candidate for
the National Book Award in September 2010. From May 2010 to May 2011, he
served in the Custody of the Holy Land, as member of the Franciscan community
in the Basilica of the Holy Sepulchre in Jerusalem, where he wrote THE JESUS
LETTERS and MY SON, FRANCIS. He has since returned to the Philippines."
